New Hardcover Book - Tight spine clean pages. Very Good Read!! You will love this one! Emma Lou Thayne wrote this book about her experiences as a child in roughly 1935 when she was 10. Emma Lou was about 50 when she wrote this book. She was an English teacher, eventually at the University of Utah. Presently, in 2014, Emma Lou is 88 and held in highest esteem in the Mormon community of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is truly a remarkable lady, an insider in the Mormon community, yet she has never been the "yes woman" of The Church, but she is a true believer, her religion is strong. At one time, she contributed to "Sunstone" magazine, a modern reflection for those who don't quite fit into conservative LDS brickwork that is tolerated because it provides an outlet for modern women, divorced women, homosexuals, DNA questioners for the Native Americans, and other secular people who absolutely are loyal to their Mormon culture but they live in the modern world .
