Help me understand this book!

I'm looking for someone who can explain the Bible to me from a study that isn't cultish or legalistic or pushy or demanding so I can learn more about the book. It has always been a mystery to me with all the old English stuff with thee and thou and "whom art thou and what doeth thee and wherefore goest thine brain" kind of stuff like that. Anyone want to help me?
