I'm looking to rehome my ball python.
I haven't been able to give her the attention she deserves, and with life changes coming in the future it'll be even more difficult to do so. I'm looking for someone with experience handling reptiles as she has some behavioral issues that will make her more difficult than a standard ball python.
About her:
-Morph: Pastel Sugar Spotnose
-Approximately 5-6 years old
-Female (to my knowledge)
-Eating frozen/thawed rats
She is very inquisitive and usually pops out of whatever hide she's in when I'm about around her cage. She tends to not come out too much durring the day, though at night she is very active. She likes to climb, and if given the opportunity she will be on top of the tallest objects in her enclosure. While she isnt very headshy, she may flinch at the first couple touches before she gets comfortable with the contact. Since I've owned her I've never had an issue with her shedding and its always been a simple and clean process.
I purchased her from a breeder, Pacific Northwest Pythons, in September of 2022 and I have had her since. She has a very strong feeding response and eats very well. However, she has developed a nasty behavior issue where she will bite and latch onto hands in a feeding response regardless of the presence of food or not, making handling her difficult. Due to this she is not a beginner-friendly animal.
Unfortunately, due to logistical issues, I won't be able to provide the cage I currently house her in but I'll be providing everything else I have for her care and setup otherwise:
-Multiple hides
-Water bowls
-Feeding tongs
-Multiple peices of cork bark
-Two 2cf bags of cypress mulch
-Two 36qt BioDude TerraFirma substrate
-One 8qt EcoEarth loose coco fiber
-All the rocks, wood and fake foliage seen in the pictures
It will basically be everything in her setup except the enclosure itself.
If needed, I do have a smaller enclosure I can include, though that one should only be a very temporary enclosure and is not big enough for her to stay in long-term.
