History:
Rolling pin shaped stool was fashioned this way to rest weary tired feet without putting pressure directly on one’s heels. Legs rested behind the ankle area while the feet hung over the curve of the rounded cylinder. It is quite comfortable & at a time when gout was a common problem this style of footstool really helped
