About the Role
As a laborer, you will work closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents. You will support the construction crews by performing a variety of physical tasks on the jobsite. These tasks include (but are not limited to) site cleanup, preparation, material handling, and equipment operation (as qualified). You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized work environment to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Follow all safety rules, procedures, and guidelines at all times, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Participate in weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks, report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately to your supervisor
· Dispose of waste materials in compliance with company and environmental guidelines
· Keep jobsite clean and free of debris, hazards, and excess materials
· Set up and dismantle temporary structures such as barricades, fencing, scaffolding, and signage
· Assist carpenters, operators, and other skilled trades as directed by the Superintendent or Asst. Superintendent
· Perform physical labor tasks including cleaning, digging, lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials
· Move, stage, and store materials and tools around the jobsite; maintain organization of laydown areas, tool storage, and supply zones
· Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers; assist with receiving and staging deliveries
· Operates hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision, support setup, and movement of larger construction equipment under supervision
· Other related duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
· Be a self-starter
· Some construction experience preferred
· Must be able to travel to jobsite with own transportation
· Must be able to pass a drug test
· High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
· Valid Driver’s License
