The RiverCity Ramblers' TWENTY-FOURTH ANNUAL Four Flags Rally, a real road ride like most owners of vintage motorcycles only daydream about, will start at 9:00 A.M. on SATURDAY, 7/11/2026, at the Harp's Food store (park on the gravel and grass east of the store or in the FAR SOUTHEAST corner of their parking lot) at 1107 South Main Street across from the Casey's General Store on OK Highway 20 just west of downtown Jay, OK. It's GPS coordinates are: latitude: 36* 25' 9"; longitude: -94* 48' 23". You may leave your truck parked there. Casey's sells non-ethanol gas, and please start with your bike full of gas. Riders of all PRE-1990 vintage, street-legal motorcycles of UNDER 501cc (NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE) are welcome on this approximately 195-mile one-day tour through four states (OK-KS-MO-AR). This event is designed to be a safe yet challenging ride for medium-size vintage motorcycles. Our ride will include a quick stop at Jim Serage's great Second Kick Cycle Works Museum in Grove, two crossings of Grand Lake, a ride under the bluffs along the Elk River at Noel, MO, and many miles in the foothills of the beautiful Ozark Mountains. We will take a cooldown break - swimming optional - at the Grand Falls of Shoal Creek on the west side of Joplin. We will eat lunch at Van's Steakhouse in Baxter Springs. We need to MAINTAIN 55 MPH for several stretches of U.S. Highways, so this may not be the ideal ride for bikes of under 125cc. Your food and gas should be your only costs for the ride. A sag wagon will be provided to haul tools, gas, water and inop bikes. Everyone who rides the Four Flags Rally will receive a commemorative ride button and a nice 8.5" X 11" color photo of his choice from among vintage motorcycle subjects. To encourage the riding of older, truly vintage bikes, riders of all 1969 or older bikes will receive a 1960s-vintage issue of Cycle World magazine. Several trophies will be awarded, and all riders will be entered into a drawing for nice prizes, which include the book History of Japanese Motorcycles 1945-2007 (the definitive reference source for Japanese bikes), a motorcycle wheel balancer, sound recordings from the 1966 Isle of Man TT races and more.
