“Dead Guy Opry” – the first-ever country-comedy opera (that we know of) – is looking for multiple singers and musicians for a Concept CD project to be recorded in NE OK this summer, followed by a low-budget movie project. Wheeee!! We’ve got Sean Patrick McGraw (he’s toured with some MAJOR acts, played national TV, and wrote a Montgomery-Gentry hit) playing the title role. He’s recording at his studio in Nashville, but the rest of the project will be done in either Bartlesville or Tulsa (we’re still shopping around for the best studio for the best price), and pretty much ALL of the shooting for the film will be done here.

Instrumentation-wise, we’re looking for lead guitar, bass, and drums– these are also small roles in the film. Singer-wise, you can see a list of roles at www.deadguyopry.weebly.com.
There IS pay for all participants, but it’s not much, with guaranteed wages ranging from $25 for extras to a couple hundred for the largest roles. We’ll be doing some fund-raising as well, much of which will go to talent, so it could be a bit more. The pay will be for both the recording AND the film (which – as this is an opera – will be lip-synced…lip-sunc?).
If interested, you can either reply to this posting or contact us through the website. Please don't reply without both a picture and sample of your singing/playing. Thanks!!
