I play bass by myself too much.
I remember it was more fun with others involved.

I would love to create something like a mixture of the following

Snarky Puppy, Miles classic quintet, Vulfpeck, El-P (not ELP), Antonio Jobim, Prince, Ruben Blades, Brass Against, Weather Report, Tool, Headhunters (herbie), Animals as Leaders, Bill Evans, Parliament, Material/Praxis, Tito Puente, J-Dilla, Mingus and Max Roach.

I like Dream Theater, Rush, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and Yes, until the singing starts then I have to turn it off.

Probably would be instrumental but if the right singer came along I would be all for it.

I don't want to play country, blues, classic rock, metal or be in a cover band.
If that is where you are wanting to go, God bless and have fun, but please don't contact me.

Here is a soundcloud account that has some examples of me playing stuff.

I am young enough to play with passion and aggression and old enough to value my time. Open to any instrument combination, except clavichord, I hate that thing.

The soundcloud pieces don't show it but I love effects, I have a lot of effects, I like crazy sounds, my wife says it's become unhealthy, that's how much I like pedals.

Would love to write our own music and play a few covers, and by covers I mean standards and an unexpected popular song occasionally.

You do not have to be a virtuoso, I am not, I can play fairly well, but I am also willing to practice a piece of music to get it right but I may not be able to play it perfectly the first time and I don't expect anyone else to. If you play keys and you love Bill Evans or Bernie Worrell but aren't up to their standards please don't worry, I love Anthony Jackson and Jaco Pastorius, I am not at their level but it won't stop me from playing what I like and improving.

Thanks
